Storage Kenley Modern Slavery Statement
This Modern Slavery Statement sets out the steps Storage Kenley takes to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking within our operations and supply chains. Storage Kenley recognises that modern slavery, including forced labour, servitude, human trafficking and child labour, is a serious violation of fundamental human rights. We are committed to conducting our business ethically and with integrity, ensuring that modern slavery has no place in our organisation or the businesses with which we work.
Our Zero-Tolerance Approach
Storage Kenley operates a strict zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of modern slavery and human trafficking. This commitment applies to every aspect of our business, including the way we manage our facilities, engage with customers and contractors, and select and manage suppliers. We expect the same high standards from all parties connected to our operations, and we will not knowingly engage with any organisation involved in or complicit with modern slavery practices.
All employees, agency workers, contractors and suppliers are required to comply with this policy. Breaches may result in disciplinary action, termination of contracts or reporting to appropriate authorities where necessary.
Our Supply Chains and Supplier Audits
Our supply chains primarily consist of providers of storage-related goods and services, including construction and maintenance services, security and surveillance systems, cleaning services, equipment suppliers and professional advisers. We recognise that risks can exist at various stages of these supply chains and take a proactive approach to risk identification and mitigation.
Storage Kenley conducts due diligence on existing and potential suppliers with the aim of identifying, assessing and addressing any risks of modern slavery. As part of this process, we may request information on suppliers policies, training and procedures related to labour practices, human rights and ethical sourcing. Where appropriate, we may carry out audits or assessments, either directly or through third parties, to review working conditions, recruitment practices and compliance with relevant labour standards.
If a supplier is found to be involved in modern slavery or unable to demonstrate adequate safeguards, Storage Kenley will take appropriate action. This may include requiring corrective measures, suspending new business or ending the relationship altogether. We are committed to working collaboratively with responsible suppliers to improve standards while maintaining our zero-tolerance stance.
Reporting Concerns and Whistleblowing
Storage Kenley encourages a culture of openness and accountability. We expect employees, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders to report any concerns they may have about modern slavery or unethical behaviour connected to our business or supply chains.
Concerns can be raised through existing internal reporting channels, including line managers or senior management, in line with our whistleblowing and grievance procedures. All reports will be taken seriously, handled sensitively and investigated promptly. We will ensure that anyone who raises a concern in good faith is protected from victimisation, retaliation or other detrimental treatment as a result of speaking up.
Where evidence of modern slavery or related abuses is identified, Storage Kenley will take immediate and appropriate action, which may include reporting matters to relevant authorities and cooperating fully with any official investigations.
Training, Awareness and Continuous Improvement
Storage Kenley is committed to increasing awareness of modern slavery risks among our workforce and key suppliers. We provide information and guidance on recognising signs of modern slavery, understanding our policies and knowing how to report concerns. Relevant staff involved in procurement, supplier management and site operations may receive additional training where the risk profile of their work warrants it.
We recognise that standards and expectations continue to evolve. Storage Kenley therefore keeps its approach under regular review and seeks opportunities to strengthen our controls and practices over time.
Annual Review of this Statement
This Modern Slavery Statement is reviewed at least annually to ensure it remains accurate, effective and aligned with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as best practice. The review considers any incidents reported, audit findings, changes in our operations or supply chains and developments in relevant legislation or guidance.
Following each review, Storage Kenley will update this statement as necessary and ensure that it continues to reflect our commitment to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking. This statement has been approved on behalf of Storage Kenley and represents our ongoing dedication to operating responsibly, ethically and transparently in all aspects of our business.
